xperia-z-ultra-waterresistant Sony has announced the launch of a new model Android smartphone. He claims that the Xperia Z Ultra brand name handset, with a 5.5-inch screen, is the thinnest of the smartphone’s large monitor-rich smartphones. Sony also says that the device is designed to challenge Samsung’s governance in the mobile computing market.
The Xperia Z Ultra has a 128 * 4P HD display, 4mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 3 Quadcore 2.2 GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 3GB storage, microSD card slot, 1MP megapixel front camera and 2MP. The set will run on Android 1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Its thickness is 5.5 millimeters (8.2 in) and weighs 282 grams. The Xperia Z Ultra will come with a slimmer structure than the iPhone 5.
Dust-proof and waterproof, the smartphone can be kept in water for 1.5 hours (6.5 ft) to half an hour.
However, using such a mobile phone is not always easy for everyone. And that’s why the Xperia Z Ultra comes with a special companion handset. It is basically a small Bluetooth receiver that can connect to other gadgets via Bluetooth and NFC. Therefore, keeping the smartphone in pocket, you can take important notifications, listen to music and talk. Sony said that this mini handset of the SBH12 model is also splashproof.
Although the manufacturer has not yet provided any information about pricing of the new devices, the manufacturer expects the company to launch them in the third quarter of this year. To know more about the device, be sure to watch the promo video below…
